The RK6015 allows those with standard flow skid-steers up to 75 HP to expand their capabilities.
LEBANON, Ohio — Fecon introduces the RK6015, a new, wider, standard flow mulcher head which is ideal for use with most standard skid-steer loaders, Avant-type wheel loaders and other carriers that are able to provide 17-27 gpm of hydraulic flow, have enclosed cabs that can be properly protected with the appropriate polycarbonate guarding and have the ability to carry the 1465-pound attachment.
This new brush cutting tool allows those with standard flow skid-steers up to 75 HP to expand their capabilities and enter the brush cutting arena without a large capital expenditure. A bite-limiting split ring rotor holds 26 knife or carbide-type cutting tools and has a 60-inch working width. Operating at 2,400 rpm, it can shred brush and small trees up to 5-inches in diameter, making it an ideal tool for general vegetation management, creating “defensible space” for fire prevention, clearing fence rows, lot and land cleanup and more. Ideal for rental fleets as well as landscapers, arborists, farmers, ranchers, landowners/property managers, parks & recreational facilities, municipalities, Christmas tree farms and others tasked with managing brush and vegetation.
Weighing just 1,490 pounds with mounting plate and push bar, this new mulcher head is easily handled by the carrier, yet stout enough to provide a long service life. Overall width is approximately 71-inches with a cutting width of 60-inches, and overall height is 47-inches, with a depth of 33-inches. Ideal for loaders up to 75 HP. Adaptable with varying mounting plates to fit several types of carriers. Carrier-specific hydraulic hoses and couplers provided. A variable displacement 45cc hydraulic motor is standard, as is an adjustable bolt-on push bar with serrated ears for directing material.

Landscape contractors can secure their spot in line for the company’s 52-inch fully autonomous commercial mower.
BOULDER, Colo. — Scythe Robotics is now taking reservations for M.52, the company’s 52-inch fully autonomous commercial mower. Landscape contractors can secure their spot in line with Scythe by making a reservation, which will ensure them earlier access to M.52 as it becomes available in their region. Reservations for the industry’s most advanced robotic mower can be made at GetScythe.com.
With Scythe M.52, self-driving technology meets commercial-grade equipment to expand the capacity and performance of landscape crews. M.52 follows contours, tackles slopes and automatically adjusts striping patterns on its own for a consistently high-quality cut. The mower’s eight HDR cameras and advanced sensors enable it to identify obstacles on a property and safely navigate around them. And since it’s all-electric, M.52 can be charged overnight and run all day with zero emissions and substantially less noise than gas-powered mowers.
“Following our launch from stealth and first public exhibitions, the excitement about Scythe has continued to build across the landscape industry,” said Jack Morrison, co-founder and CEO of Scythe. “Customers are increasingly eager to deploy M.52 in their fleets, and now they can secure the opportunity to do so.”
With 2022 production already reserved, 2023 reservations are expected to fill fast.
Landscape crews will also be able to use real-time data from the mower to identify additional service opportunities including adding seasonal color, pruning and preventive lawn and shrub care. And with software updates included M.52’s abilities will continue to improve, as will its impact on landscape contractors’ businesses.
Check out Scythe M.52 in action.

The union had said its members would walk off the job if no deal has been reached Wednesday.
MOLINE, Ill. — More than 10,000 Deere & Co. workers went on strike Thursday, the first major walkout at the agricultural machinery giant in more than three decades.
The union had said its members would walk off the job if no deal has been reached Wednesday. The vast majority of the union rejected a contract offer earlier this week that would have delivered 5% raises to some workers and 6% raises to others at the Illinois company known for its green tractors.
“The almost one million UAW retirees and active members stand in solidarity with the striking UAW members at John Deere,” UAW President Ray Curry said.

The Zevo, the Surfer Pro and the Super SF stand-on will debut at GIE+EXPO.
LOUISVILLE – Hustler Turf, a manufacturer of premium commercial and residential zero-turn lawn mowers, announced three brand new products: the Zevo, the Surfer Pro and the Super SF stand-on. For model year 2022, Hustler also refreshed its existing FasTrak and FasTrak SDX models. Hustler will unveil the new units during the 2021 Green Industry and Equipment Expo (GIE+EXPO) in Louisville, Kentucky from Oct. 20-22, 2021.
“We heard our customers and developed each of these new mowers with their needs in mind,” said Mark Friesen, director of brand marketing for Hustler Turf. “After a year off from an in-person GIE+EXPO, we look forward to seeing our dealers, distributors and end-users and showing them the latest innovations from Hustler.”
Hustler Turf’s newest all-electric unit is the Zevo, which boasts a fabricated 42” deck with a similar construction as the Dash XD. This compact sit-down mower is targeted for single-yard use; it has two speeds – 5 miles per hour for the trim/learning mode and 7 miles per hour for regular mowing. The Zevo can mow up to 1.5 hours depending on terrain and grass conditions; when properly maintained, the batteries should last its user up to five years.
The Surfer Pro stand-on mower was specifically designed to appeal to both landscape contractors and homeowners. With its compact footprint and 34” or 48” deck options, it is a great trim and tight area mower with the ability to easily fit through fence gates. In addition, it takes up minimal space on a trailer and less storage space in a garage or shed.
The 18” rear drive tires offer a smooth mowing experience for any operator. The Surfer Pro is backed by a two-year, 300-hour warranty for contractors and a three-year, 300-hour warranty for homeowners.
The Super SF stand-on mower is an all-day machine. It is the biggest, fastest and strongest model in the family of stand-up units offered by Hustler. This mower can reach up to 15 miles per hour with stronger Hydro-Gear transmissions, 26” rear drive tires and a 40-horsepower engine option. The Super SF is equipped with Hustler’s newest deck – the VX – in 60” or 72” and holds nearly 14 gallons of fuel, allowing the operator to spend more time mowing and less time fueling.
“The Super SF represents the growth and evolution of our stand-on mower development,” Friesen said. “The heavy-duty construction and industry-leading components make it the professional’s choice for mowing in the harshest of conditions. Combined with the Surfer Pro, Super S and Super 88, Hustler has the most complete stand-on lineup in the industry.”
Both the FasTrak and FasTrak SDX have new improvements that further their commercial strength. Both products now feature dual fuel tanks, a dual USB charger port, front and rear tie-downs, and standard rubber floor mats. The premier models hit top speeds of up to 10 miles per hour and boast 23” rear tires.
