Warner Bros. holds the rights to dozens of popular IPs that could be used in MultiVersus. Here are five exciting WB characters that could be added.
With MultiVersus open to all players with Twitch drops and founder's packs and a whole batch of new characters announced, many fans are wondering what Warner Bros. characters are still left to be put into the game. While there could be more characters from the already represented franchises like Looney Tunes and Scooby-Doo, it'd be more exciting to see fresh IPs added to MultiVersus.
Warner Bros. has the rights to dozens of franchises with characters that would fit perfectly with the style and gameplay of MultiVersus. So, which ones would be the best to add to MultiVersus' already sizable roster? Here are some standout possibilities that would be fun and unique additions to the game.

The Lord of the Rings will almost certainly get a representative in MultiVersus, with obvious choices like Gandalf, Frodo, Aragorn, and even Gollum being the most likely additions. However, in terms of interesting abilities and skills that could translate well to a platform fighter, Talion from Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor is at the top of the list. Once a ranger of Gondor, Talion can wield a sword and bow well. He also excels in parkour and rapid movement, both skills which would be helpful for this movement-intensive title.
MultiVersus could implement either bright lord Talion, who has Celebrimbor on his side, or Wraith Talion with his reanimated allies. Either version would have a plethora of interesting mechanics, with the other becoming a skin. Talion can stun enemies and follow with a flurry of strikes, teleport, raise the dead, and even control Uruks. There are plenty of moves that could be adapted from Shadow of Mordor and Shadow of War into MultiVersus.

The Mask is a character so perfect for MultiVersus, it's a wonder he wasn't included in the base roster. With cartoon physics, movement, and one-liners, he would mesh well with the other characters in the game. His endless armory of guns, bike horns, mallets, and anything else imaginable could easily fill out his moveset. Several people have worn the mask throughout its history, but the Stanley Ipkiss version from the original film is the most recognizable and the obvious choice for MultiVersus.
Warner Bros. can clearly still use the character in media, as just last year he appeared in the background of Space Jam: A New Legacy, featuring alongside the MultiVersus' LeBron James. Though The Mask may not be the most recognizable franchise in the Warner Bros. catalog, even players who aren't familiar with the character would surely enjoy his personality.

Mortal Kombat, Warner Bros.' most known fighting game franchise, is home to many cool characters that would fit well into the roster of MultiVersus. Though Scorpion is functionally the franchise's mascot, Sub-Zero would be a more natural and unique fit in the platform fighter. Scorpion's most famous move of pulling enemies towards him has already been implemented with Wonder Woman's lasso.
As an ice user, Sub-Zero is perfect for this game. Projectiles, makeshift platforms, and movement enhancing or restricting all become available with his moveset. MultiVersus has an interactive element system which Sub-Zero would slot into nicely. Superman's frost breath is capable of fully freezing enemies if they are hit enough times, so Sub-Zero could have a similar mechanic but turned up to the max. Mortal Kombat ninjas also have the benefit of looking similar, making skins like Scorpion, Rain, and Reptile easy to pump out.

With the somewhat recent release of The Matrix Resurrections movie, Neo is still a relevant character in pop culture. Not only that, but he knows kung fu as well as a myriad of other martial arts that were uploaded directly into his brain. He is also proficient in different weapon types. This leaves him with almost infinite moves to choose from for his basic attacks, and that doesn't even include the enhanced powers that he can use in The Matrix.
The iconic scene of Neo stopping bullets could easily translate into projectile blocking in MultiVersus. Neo can also travel at superhuman speeds and fly, both of which would make him a formidable opponent in a platform fighter. Neo could wear any number of fan-favorite skins like Morpheus or Agent Smith.

Harry Potter is one of the most influential franchises in recent history. With another video game adaptation coming in the form of Hogwarts Legacy, the boy who lived is in the perfect position to join MultiVersus. Harry himself will certainly be the first representative of the franchise, but later on, down the road, there are other interesting characters like the werewolf Remus Lupin that could bring unique playstyles to the game.
Harry, as a wizard, would fall into the mage class, using long-range spells and potions to attack opponents. He could use a broom as his form of movement and recovery, and his invisible cloak to slip out of close combat. With how fleshed out the Harry Potter universe has become, there would be no shortage of abilities and moves for Harry to take advantage of if he comes to MultiVersus.
