NEWARK – The Legalized Games of Chance Control Commission has proposed amendments to allow entities licensed by the Commission to hold punch-board raffles.

P.L. 2017, c. 380 allowed the holder of an instant raffle games license to conduct punch-board raffles. A punch-board raffle consists of a board with holes that have been filled with slips of rolled paper. A player pays to use a stylus to break the seal on a hole and “punch” out one of the slips of paper from the board. If the number or symbols found on the slip of paper matches one of the pre-determined winning combinations, the player is awarded the corresponding prize. The proposal effectuates P.L. 2017, c. 380.

The proposed amendments, and information on how to submit a comment by July 1, 2022, can be viewed here.
