Similar to Game 1, the Golden State Warriors and Memphis Grizzlies traded haymakers in a thriller in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series. However, instead of Klay Thompson coming through with a clutch jumper late, it was Ja Morant with the final say in Game 2.
The Grizzlies budding superstar dropped a red-hot 47 points on 15-of-31 shooting from the floor with eight boards, eight assists and three steals in 41 minutes. Morant also drilled five triples on 12 attempts from deep against the Warriors in Game 2.
Behind Morant’s performance, the Grizzlies notched the series at 1-1 with a 106-101 win in Game 2.
The Warriors struggled to shoot the ball in Game 2, shooting just 7-of-38 (18.4%) from beyond the arc on Tuesday in Memphis. Even the sharpshooting trio of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole struggled to shoot from deep, shooting just 6-of-29 from long distance in Game 2.
Along with cold shooting, 18 turnovers hampered the Warriors’ chances of keeping up with Morant in Game 2.
Steph Curry led the Warriors with 27 points on 11-of-25 shooting from the field with nine rebounds, eight assists, a steal and five turnovers in 39 minutes.
After the Grizzlies tied the series against the Warriors before heading to the Bay Area, the NBA Twitter community chimed in with different reactions. Here’s a look at what fans and analysts were saying on Twitter on Tuesday night.

GP2 has having a helluva season… battled injuries and bounced back each time.
Found his role and spot in the league… Had a great oppurtunity to really cash in with strong postseason.
Season ends on a bullshit play from Brooks. pic.twitter.com/BHUkEu4A97

In the Warriors last two playoff runs, Gary Payton II has fractured his elbow and Klay Thompson has torn his ACL, and both guys stayed in to shoot their free throws just in case
Endearing in both its toughness and innocence

Ja outscored the entire Warriors team by himself to seal the Game 2 win 🙌 pic.twitter.com/N9rm0lBETv
After G1… “Warriors wont shoot that bad from 3 again”…
We knew this would be a series. We didn’t know the Warriors would leave Memphis with an injury concern and other odd issues, too.
Both these teams should be happy the series doesn’t continue until Saturday. They could use all the rest possible after two games

The Warriors shot 7-38 (18.4%) from three tonight.

Felt like every time the Warriors closed in, tied, or took the lead, they then proceeded to shoot themselves in the foot. Which is something you'd expect out of a young team, not one that's got plenty of winning pedigree.

The Warriors lost this game in Memphis because they shot terribly — 7 of 38 from 3, bricked (or airballed) a ton of clean looks — and Ja Morant isolated them to death to close fourth quarter without Gary Payton II available. GP2's injury status is major between-games story.
— Anthony Slater (@anthonyVslater) May 4, 2022
Let this was slip – too loose with passes/dribbling & couldn’t hit the left side of a barn – also losing your primary Ja defender to a dirty dirty play is horrible

that was an epic by Ja Morant pic.twitter.com/b7RkCv5e7R
